The Referee Panel

Referees have a dedicated panel in Torneos MVP for entering scores during matches. It works on any phone or tablet, replaces paper score sheets, and sends results in real time.

Accessing the referee panel

There are two ways to access the referee area:

The most common method — the tournament organizer generates a unique access link for each referee.

  1. The organizer generates your link from the tournament's Referees section.
  2. The organizer sends you the link (via WhatsApp, email, etc.).
  3. Open the link on your phone or tablet.
  4. You are taken directly to your assigned matches — no login needed.

Option 2: Referee portal (with account)

If you have a Torneos MVP account and are registered as a referee in the community:

  1. Log in to Torneos MVP.
  2. Navigate to your referee portal.
  3. Select the tournament you are officiating.

What you see in the referee panel

Your panel shows:

  • A list of all matches assigned to you
  • Each match shows the players, category, and court assignment
  • Upcoming matches are listed in order

Entering scores during a match

  1. Tap the match you are officiating to open the score entry screen.
  2. The screen shows both players and the current score.
  3. Tap the point buttons to add a point to the appropriate player.
  4. Scores update in real time — the scoreboard on the display screen updates instantly.
  5. When a set or game is won, the screen prompts you to start the next one.
  6. When the match is finished, tap Finish match.
  7. Confirm the final result.

The winner is automatically advanced in the bracket.

Working offline

If your internet connection drops during a match:

  • Keep entering scores as normal.
  • The panel continues to work locally.
  • All data syncs automatically when your connection is restored.

Important: Do not close the browser tab while offline, as unsaved data may be lost on some devices.

Confirming the result

Before tapping Finish match, confirm the final score with both players. Once confirmed:

  • The result is recorded and cannot be changed by the referee.
  • Only tournament operators with the appropriate permissions can edit results afterward.

After the match

Once you finish a match:

  • Your next assigned match appears at the top of your list.
  • The court becomes free in the live control panel.
  • The organizer can assign your next match.
