Managing Referees
Referees officiate matches during tournaments. Registering them in your community's People directory is the first step to assigning them to tournaments and generating their access links.
Adding a referee
- Go to Dashboard → People (Personas).
- Click Add person or the + button.
- Select Referee as the person type.
- Fill in:
- First name and Last name
- DNI / ID number (recommended)
- Birthday
- Gender
- Referee type — the classification level of the referee
- Club — club affiliation (optional)
- Email and Phone (optional)
- Profile photo (optional)
- Click Save.
Referee types
Referee types classify the certification level of a referee (e.g., national referee, regional referee, club referee). The available types are configured by your community administrator.
Assigning referees to a tournament
Once a referee exists in your People directory:
- Open the tournament.
- Go to Referees in the tournament side navigation.
- The referee will appear in the available list and can be selected for match assignments.

Generating a referee access link
Referees can access their assigned matches via a unique link — no platform account required:
- Open the tournament's Referees section.
- Find the referee.
- Click Generate link or the share icon.
- Copy and send the link to the referee.

Referee certifications
You can track referee certifications using the Validations system. Create a validation type for referee certifications (e.g., "Level 2 Certified"), then assign it to the referee's profile. See Validations for details.
