Setting Up Courts and Fields

Courts (also called fields, tables, or canchas depending on the sport) represent the physical locations where matches are played. You must set them up before the live control panel can assign matches.

Creating a court

  1. Open your tournament.
  2. In the side navigation, click Courts (Canchas).
  3. Click Add court or the + button.
  4. Fill in:
FieldDescription
NameA descriptive label — e.g., "Court 1", "Table 3", "Field A"
CodeA short identifier used in the live panel and displays (e.g., "C1", "T3")
Display orderControls the order courts appear in the live control panel
  1. Save.

Repeat for each court or field at your venue.

Connecting a TV display to a court

Each court can have an associated display — a scoreboard shown on a TV screen or projected on a wall.

  1. In the live control panel or court settings, click Assign display or the display icon.
  2. The system generates a display URL for this court.
  3. Open the URL on the screen you want to use as a scoreboard, or use it as a browser source in OBS for streaming.

See Streaming & Displays for detailed setup instructions.

Court status during live play

The live control panel shows each court with a real-time status:

StatusMeaning

AlertAn issue requires attention

Alerts

The system will flag alerts on a court when:

AlertCauseResolution

No displayA match is assigned but no display is connectedAssign a display from the live panel
Match delayedA match has gone past its scheduled timeInvestigate and reschedule or finish the match

Resolve alerts from the live control panel by assigning the missing resource.

Editing or removing a court

  1. Go to Courts in the tournament side navigation.
  2. Click the court name or the edit action.
  3. Update the name, code, or display order.
  4. Save.

To remove a court, click Delete and confirm. A court can only be removed if no active match is assigned to it.

How many courts do I need?

Courts can be added or removed at any time during the tournament. The number of courts you need depends on:

  • Tournament size — more players and categories require more parallel courts
  • Time constraints — more courts allow more matches to run simultaneously, reducing total duration
  • Venue capacity — limited by the physical space available

Tip: Start with the number of courts you have physically available. You can always adjust during the event if courts are added or removed.
